You can Owe me

Every Thursday night CB and I have a tradition of watching The Office. It is something I look forward to every week, during the 'season' {summertime we usually go through and rewatch all of the old seasons}. This past Thursday was not any different. We went to Oregano's for a yummy anniversary dinner and we got home just in time for our show to start.

It was funny as always. CB has a very loud, very funny, and very infectious laugh, so if you watch something only slightly funny to you, you probably would laugh anyway because he laughs at just about anything. Anyway, {WARNING SPOILER AHEAD} this week's episode had two characters constantly trying to do favors for each other and for the whole office. One character wanted to get another character fired because he wanted his job. Somehow it turned into two characters 'doing favors' over and over again. It was quite humorous...but, it got me thinking....I need to do more favors {and not expect favors back}.

My sister has a really good photography friend, {Rachel} who actually took our family pictures, who is SO thoughtful. She sends my sister all kinds of fun presents...simple things like a headband or an apron or a fun CD with good music to lift your spirits. She and my sister haven't known each other for very long, but that doesn't matter.

So now my goal is to be more thoughtful and giving. I told CB that I was going to be like The Office character, but not expect favors in return. I try to be thoughtful and do nice things for CB all the time...I am going to try harder though. I am also going to try to be more considerate of others and do nice things for others. I did that this evening. I saw a Pizza guy walking around my complex in confusion. I asked if he was lost - yes. I told him I wasn't sure of the location of the house he was looking for but if I found it I would let him know {I was taking clothes to the Laundromat}...I walked around for a bit, found the number and yelled at the poor kid across the courtyard. He came around the corner I showed him the number and I went along my business - into the laundry room. He came back and waved at me through the window and said 'Thank you'.

It was nice to help someone, even though I really wasn't that big of a help. I mean he would have walked around a little longer and eventually find what he was looking for...but, hey its a start and we all have to start somewhere.

My life is rough

All the pooping, peeing, crying, eating can get to a kid.

2 months old!

Little cb is 2 months old today!

Happy 2 months my sweet baby boy!

I can't believe it has been two months since you decided to join us.

Where did the time go?

1....2....3....4 years

CB and I met in February 2005.....

We had some fun and crazy times together....

Which made us fall into love with each other....

Which lead to this.....

And this....

We've had lots of happy days....

A few sad days, and some trying times....

And four years later.....

Here we are now!

Happy Anniversary to my CB! I love you so much. Thank you for all you do.

cb 1 Month Appointment - very late

I better write down a few things about cb's 1 month appointment or his 2 month appointment will be here before we know it! Cute little cb has been doing lots of growing. His 1 month appointment was a few weeks after his 1 month b-day. The doctor was going to be out {actually adopting a baby!}.

Anyway, here were his stats:

9 lbs 12 oz

25th % for weight

22-23 in long

50th % for height

I can't remember exactly what the doctor said when she told me how long he was...So I sorta guessed. CB and I had measured him and he was somewhere about 22 to 23. He is getting bigger every day. The poor little guy had to get a shot too :( no fun! The other sad thing is that his cousin A who is 3 weeks younger than him weighed MORE than cb did at his first appointment. Go figure. cb will be just like his daddy, tall and skinny.

Creative Juices are out of order

I have not been posting because I am either working, taking care of a baby, taking care of a spouse, or my house {wow that rhymed}.

{notice taking care of myself wasn't in there...hm}

I tried to think of something clever to say to back up my excuses for all the lacking in posting...

Really I do have a million things to post. Maybe I will start tomorrow.

But, I said that yesterday.

Then the Internet wasn't working...

So, watch out because the next time you get on and look there could be 10 new posts....
