Not only do my sister and insist that these guys be buddies, they were born to be buddies! Only three weeks apart, come on. One of my best friends in junior high and I were only 2 weeks apart...it was destiny then and will be destiny now. Plus, they are going to get thrown together so much, it is bound to happen! ;) Sweet cb and d....If only cb would smile when you put the funny black thingy in his face...now that might friends would be a perfect world.Monday, December 7, 2009

Turkey Time
"Thanksgiving is America's national chow-down fest, the one occasion each year when gluttony becomes a patriotic duty" -Michael Dresser
Ok, I just thought that quote was funny. I truly had many things to be thankful for this past Thanksgiving. We are all healthy and happy. CB and I both have great jobs that provide. Little cb is a joy to have in our home. We could ask for anything more! {well, we could but we won't get into that}. Anyway this past Thanksgiving we had a few adventures and mishaps....
Wednesday night: I had a very good friend call in desperate need...she needed me to come get a pedicure with her! :) So, I did, little cb tagged along. Then I got takeout for dinner, when much to CB's dismay, I forgot to order his sandwich with no mayo and they put it on there and there was no way to 'scrap it off'. {that guy is so spoiled I tell ya!}. He kinda got really really mad, but I will spare you the gory details. I then went on to prepare the sweet potato dish for the 'B' family adventure....done, just needed to cool off and bake the next day. Thanksgiving wouldn't be Thanksgiving in my eyes unless we pimento and celery, so I dropped my bil's b-day present off {his b-day was 11-18} and ran to Walgreen's...hoping they would have it, they didn't. So I ran across the street to Bashas. UGH! I couldn't find it, until one nice guy helped me out. Note to all pimento {not the refrigerated kind} is on the cheese isle. Anyway, got that, check! So I went home and hung out and then went to bed. Little cb did his usual twice a night wake up. At the 4 am wake up/feeding I was sitting thinking about the food I had to make...oh crap! The sweet potato dish that I slaved over {not really} had been left on the counter ALL night, and it had eggs in it. You could insert words here that I don't say but sometimes would like to.
I got up early on Thursday morning and ran to the store. Luckily there was no one there. I got home and got back into sweet potato action. Got it done. CB had gone to play 'turkey bowl'. We got ready and left for my parents house. On the way over we had food slipping and spilling everywhere.....Anyway, there we had a delish feast with all the fixings. We enjoyed the company of my grandpa and the elders and missed the company of my older brother and sister's families. My other sister J and I planned our Black Friday madness and then we drove to GeeGee and Gpa's house and hung out with the B family. We enjoyed another dinner and family time. It was a pretty good day over all....
Plus, this little turkey enjoyed his first holiday. He didn't enjoy the food though.

This turkey really was stuffed and had to sleep it off before the next big feast.

3 months
Today cb is 3 months old {oh and it is our bil/uncle's b-day too - happy birthday rob!} ! I can't believe how fast he is growing and how big he is getting. He is holding his head up really well, he is starting to reach out and try to grab things. He has amazing big blue eyes that will probably not change. He has discovered his toes. He is sleeping better {minus the terrible stuffy nose he has :(} I hear 3 months is a good turning point. Everyone says that....I guess we will see
p.s. no news on CB's CPA test results, maybe that will come as a nice Christmas gift.

'Hang' On
I do not know when he did it or how he did it. All I knew was that he was sleeping and having a rough day. He is such a funny kid!

Choirs are singing Hallelujah
Little cb decided after 1 hour of fighting to go to sleep...about 8:30pm.
He did not wake up from his slumber until 5:00am.
Yes, there were silent songs of joy....
Except that I didn't sleep,
I woke up about every two hours with really annoying dreams....
and
for those of you who breast feed/have breast fed...
you know what I went through there too...
BUT!
He did it! He slept through the night.
Here's to tonight.

cb's room
I am FINALLY revealing some of cb's completed room...sadly it isn't all done. We still have some things to put on the walls. We are just too busy!
Here is the painting that Aunty Amy did. Yes! She painted that. Go here for more things she can do for you or your kiddos room.

I cut the pitch fork out myself, free hand ;)

So cute! I love it. It almost looks like it should be in an ASU catalog with the mobile too.
